Compass Rose Cellars is excited to welcome the up and coming Chef Kati Luedecke from Killa Wasi. Chef Kati, a graduate of the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts, has worked her way up Austin's food scene for many years. She open Killa Wasi(which means moon house) in and around 2014 styled after her love of Peruvian cuisine. She is bringing that love to Hye and crafting a special 5 course meal from locally sourced vendors that will pair wonderfully with Compass Rose wines!
We are doing somethinig different this supper club. We all know how cold it sometimes gets up at the Overlook so we decided to host this supper club down in the Winery. With wine aging in the barrels and much warmer enviroment, this will give Chef Kati a grand canvas at which to paint her masterpiece. I wonder if our Winemaker and Sommolier Mark Watson will be showing off some future wines?!
Journey member and my good friend, Kris Potrafka of Music First Hand is still interviewing musisians for the perfect pairing with such a fantastic evening. So stay tuned for this eveings entertainment.
Happy hour will be from 6:30 -7:00 pm. Dinner will start around 7:15 pm.
